Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
Title: Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass #5)
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Genre: Fantasy
Publisher: Bloomsbury USA Children
Publication Date: September 6th, 2016
From Goodreads:
The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.
As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.
Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?
Why we are waiting:
I need this book today. Sadly, we will all have to wait until September, which really isn’t all that far off, right? It’s just two months until we can continue on with the story of Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrassen. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this.
I know some people were disappointed with Queen of Shadows, but I think this series just gets better with each book. I can only hope that trend continues!
How about you? Are you waiting on Empire of Storms? Is there something better on your radar? Share it with us below in the comments.
I agree. I loved Queen of Shadows. And I’m dying to read Empire of Storms, I hope we both love it! Thanks for sharing, and happy Wednesday. 🙂

It’s a bit of a commitment now with the 5th book coming out, but it is so worth it. One of my favorite series. 😀

I honestly want this book because I am dying to read the plotline between Manon and Dorian. I have no clue why, but I think I love those two together! Plus who doesn’t want to read Aelin being a kickass queen?

I am on the fence. I love Manon on her won, you know? She’s my very favorite. If she ends up with Dorian he better treat her right! 😛

I adore Manon, I was a bit unsure of her in HoF but she kicks butt in QoS (especially when her and Aelin meet!) I have doubt Dorian would, he might be a bit scared not to 😂

I have loved Manon from moment one. She is my kind of girl. 😀

I enjoyed Queen of Shadows although it was a slower start than her other books, but I loved the tension and the interwoven storylines. Manon was my favourite character and I’d happily read an entire series based around The Thirteen! Looking forward to Empire of Storms. 🙂

It’s only September. 😉 Two more months. I only have the paperback in my online basket to order for my sister in law for her birthday in October, who just got Queen of Shadows. I gave her my books (the first three) and she loved them. 🙂

September feels like a year! We will make it, though. I can’t decide if I am going to pre-order it or not. There is a book signing three hours from me two days after release and I don’t want to buy the book twice since they usually make you buy in store for a signature.

I’m so excited for EoS, Heir of Fire was my favorite of the ToG series. But ACOMAF was to die for too!
