Genre: Sci – Fi / Dystopian

From Goodreads:
Gemma has been in and out of hospitals since she was born. ‘A sickly child’, her lonely life to date has revolved around her home, school and one best friend, Alice. But when she discovers her father’s connection to the top secret Haven research facility, currently hitting the headlines and under siege by religious fanatics, Gemma decides to leave the sanctuary she’s always known to find the institute and determine what is going on there and why her father’s name seems inextricably linked to it.
Amidst the frenzy outside the institute’s walls, Lyra – or number 24 as she is known as at Haven – and a fellow experimental subject known only as 72, manage to escape. Encountering a world they never knew existed outside the walls of their secluded upbringing , they meet Gemma and, as they try to understand Haven’s purpose together, they uncover some earth-shattering secrets that will change the lives of both girls forever…
Why we are waiting:
Gorgeous pictures of this book have been floating around bookstagram for months now, and I am so jealous! I desperately want to get my hands it. A Sci-Fi Dystopian with unique formatting? Yes please!
Apparently you can read this book three different ways. Lyra’s story first. Then Gemma’s. Or one chapter of one and one chapter of the other. That sounds awesome! Cynthia and I are considering reading it two different ways so we can compare and contrast on the podcast! But, to be honest, I will probably have to read in every possible combination.
What do you guys think of this one? Is it on your to-read list? Let us know in the comments!
This book! I’m excited to read anything new by Lauren Oliver. She is such a good writer.

I actually had a hard time getting through Delirium. I didn’t finish the series. I just can’t get over the concept for this one, though. I am sure it will be better. 😀

Now that you mention it, I haven’t read Requiem yet. But. . . Before I Fall is one of my all-time favorite books so I’m Team Oliver all the way. 🙂
