  1. Nice job! I agreed with a lot of what you guys said even though I loved Caraval. And editing is a pain, I feel ya (I’ve had to do quite a bit of it for videos)!
Also Count D’Arcy, so true what you said about him. I thought he’d have much more to do in the story. At some point I thought he would turn out to be Julian. That would have been so interesting. At least to me.
In addition, I agree about Tella being very manipulative- I haven’t thought about it that way but when you said it, I was like yes, that is very accurate (spinster with cats and the fortune teller sounds like a good plan).

    1. Glad you enjoyed the podcast!

I also briefly suspected that Julian was the Count, and I feel like that might have been more interesting.

It wasn’t all bad, she had some amazing ideas, I just don’t think the execution was great.

      Thanks so much for listening!

  2. I couldn’t listen to the whole thing bc I didn’t know there would be spoilers and I have yet to read it, but you’re not the only ones that didn’t like this book. I hope to, because I met her and she seems awesome, but I’ve read other reviews that weren’t positive. Love your podcast! First time I listened and I love your dynamic together!
